NVQ's
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) confirm that holders of the qualifications consistently carry out the various functions of their role in line with the National Occupational Standards. In other words, they possess the necessary knowledge and skills and they are able to apply these in a range of different contexts to satisfy the requirements of customers, their managers and, in the case of NVQs, independent assessors.
The Local Land Charges Institute as the national centre has been offering NVQs at levels 3 (administration) and 4 (management) in Local Land Charges since 2000. These are professional qualifications specifically for Local Land Charges staff.
New Local Land Charges and Property Information NVQs Level 3 and Level 4 were launched at the LLCI annual conference in Blackpool in January 2008. The new qualifications have been expanded to encompass all staff within local government who deal with Local Land Charges search information.
